Who we are

A school with a difference

About seven kilometres from Shirdi on the Shirdi–Kopargaon State Highway No. 10, Vishwatmak Jangli Maharaj Ashram Trust was established under the guidance and blessings of His Holiness Param Pujya Vishwatmak Gurudev. The Trust is registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 (Registration No. E-500, dated 5 February 1987). It has income tax exemption under Section 80G and FCRA registration No. 08372014 (dated 18 November 2003).

Atma Malik English Medium School (Atma Malik English Medium Gurukul, Kokamthan) is one of the Trust's schools. All-round development of children is our mission, and our facilities are created for meaningful use by the children, not merely to attract parents.

The school follows the Maharashtra State Board curriculum, with English as the medium of instruction. Beyond the prescribed syllabus, it uses an e-learning system and self-designed reference books that bring together State Board, CBSE, ICSE and other syllabi, so that concepts are well understood and students are prepared for competitive examinations. Our curriculum is child-centred, with an activity-based approach.

Our sections

Three sections, one school

We work on every aspect of a child's progress according to their ability and interest, leading towards the right career from school itself.

Military-pattern hostel schoolA self-designed, military-pattern residential school. From Grade V it runs foundation courses that build a base for NDA and engineering careers after HSC. Its Super Foundation sub-section prepares students from Grade VII to Grade X for entrance examinations such as JEE, NEET and NATA – for careers in medicine, engineering, architecture, agriculture and related fields.

Atmarup SchoolAlso runs the foundation courses from Grade V and the Super Foundation programme from Grade VII to Grade X for entrance examinations of career orientation.

Gurukul SchoolA complete day school for day-scholar students from the nearby localities, with school bus facility. It works much like a day-boarding school.

Mr. Manik Jadhav, Principal

Atma Malik English Medium Gurukul, Kokamthan, began in the academic year 1995–96 with the holy blessings of Sadguru Atma Malik and under the able guidance of Vishwatmak Jangli Maharaj Ashram Trust, Kokamthan. It started with 90 students in its first year and had a strength of 4,000 students in the academic year 2023–24.

The school was established to give students the facilities of an international school with the State Board syllabus, integrated with CBSE and other syllabi. Through this school we offer a wide variety of education for the holistic, all-round development of each child in a spiritual atmosphere.

The school has a broad outlook on life that goes beyond the limits of the textbook and touches every aspect of a child's personality and overall development, helping to build a better future.

Dear parents and readers, every parent wants to set a great goal before their children and to build good behaviour in them. If all children are aware of the divine power within them and its potential, it will help them achieve their goals. When children learn, through meditation, the techniques of realising the Atma – the divine power within – they gain immense strength to overcome every hurdle on their way to success.

It is the wish and mission of our Sadguru Atma Malik Mauli to impart real knowledge of the self even to students. Following this mission, Vishwatmak Jangli Maharaj Ashram Trust has run schools since 1995. Today, more than 15,000 students study in our schools in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Karnataka.
